That’s why the distance overwhelms us,
Yielding treatises of deception.
Death is the stuff of fears,
A threat forever unfulfilled.
Residing in the molecules of life
A compelling, undying eagerness.
Love is the enzyme producing
The perpetual atavism of souls.
Love is the purpose of Time
Which often, is flogged for its absence.
Music is silence without love
Oblivion engulfing flesh within.
Through the Sun’s love for the earth
Grows the flower, adored by the water.
